Here is some randomness from the month of June.
Over Father's Day weekend we made a quick trip up north for a family reunion at a park Ben and his family grew up going to. It was really neat being there and visiting with all the family.
My latest creative energy has been put into sewing. I've figured out how to take adult shirts and quickly and easily make them Shelby sized. My sister donated a few shirts too and now Shelby's wardrobe is looking a lot better. The few shirts she had were all getting too small for her and my clothing budget is really happy now with FREE!!
Stryder got to participate in the Pine Wood Derby a week before he turned 8. He was so excited and with his dad's help they made a pretty cool car. Stryder showed good sportsmanship and was really just happy for the chance to be there. We are both so excited for Scouts and he has great leaders that make it so fun.
Soren got a Buzz Lightyear dress up set that came with the utility belt, laser gun, and alien binoculars. The kids love dressing up and I never know who I'm going to find saving the day at my house.
My sister and her husband made this cake for Soren's birthday. Pretty much pure awesomeness if you ask me. Soren loved it!
This cake is the one my grandpa made for Soren. Man, he got a lot of cake this year! His name is spelled out in the m&m's and the candles are a running joke in our family. I can't remember who started it but we didn't have the right number for someones birthday so we added some together. Now it's a fun puzzle to see how we can come up with the right number with the different candles we have. For Soren, it was 6 plus 6 minus 7 equals 5.
