The year 2010 was a relatively quiet one. No hard health problems or deaths in the family. Lots of accomplishments and triumphs this year. Here's the top 10 things that happened to our family in 2010.
10- Stryder plays Little Boy Blue in his first grade play.
9- Stryder plays basketball for the City of Henderson in January and this December Shelby joins in on the basketball fun.
8- We get a new dog Coco. She's a handful but the kids love her.
7- Stryder turns 7 and we have a huge birthday celebration. He is one lucky kid.
6- Stryder lost his first tooth and his second tooth the next day. The tooth fairy is busy that weekend.
5- Shelby lost her first tooth. Her second comes out a month later. 4 missing teeth between 2 kids this year.
4- Stryder learns to ride his new bike with no training wheels.
3- School starts!! Shelby is in kindergarten, Stryder in 2nd grade, and Soren in pre-school. Mom has several hours to herself each week.
2- My family has a family picture taken, the first one in almost 20 years. She took them and we all love them.
1- A three day trip to Disneyland! We waited all year for it and it was the best thing about this year.
2011 is already shaping up to be a great year. We just finalized everything and will be renting a house and moving in over New Year's Weekend. It will be a much needed change and fresh start for the new year, something we are all looking forward to. And who knows maybe there will be a few surprises along the way. Like Pres. Monson said "The future is as bright as your faith!"
