Christmas Eve and Christmas were small, quiet, and perfect this year. Disneyland in the beginning of December will do that to your budget, but no one seemed to mind. There were only smiles Christmas morning.
Shelby got a FurReal Chipmunk from Santa. Kind of weird but this girl LOVES animals, any kind of animals.
When we were in Disneyland, I was able to sneak away and do some Christmas shopping. All the kids got from Mom and Dad, were the couple things I bought there. Stryder only got this Sorcerer Mickey but he was SO excited about it and packed him everywhere with him the rest of the day. What was so great about this is when we were in Disneyland, I told each kid they could pick one toy in the whole park to buy. Stryder picked something early in the day but later in the afternoon, saw this Mickey. He was so sad he had already bought something else. Lucky for me though, it made a perfect Christmas surprise.
Ever since he completed the Jedi Training Academy, my young Padawan Soren has been wanting a green light saber. Santa granted his request and Mom bought him a Jedi Mickey with a green light saber too.
We had a great Christmas day. Traditional Christmas breakfast with the Gaineys. Lazy midday. Yummy dinner with family and a gift exchange. Crazy kids and tired parents. I'm so grateful for the bounteous gifts bestowed upon us this year. Lots of gift cards and great date nights ahead. Such huge blessings at this time of year.
